Généralités
Grâce
aux formules d'invitation vous
pourrez proposer à quelqu'un : d'aller au restaurant, boire un
verre, manger...
Il
existe différentes possibilités pour formuler une invitation ou une suggestion :
1- WHAT ABOUT ET HOW ABOUT
Ces deux
formulations sont suivies du gérondif,
c'est-à-dire de la base verbale + -ING : WHAT
ABOUT + base
verbale + -ING ou HOW
ABOUT + base
verbale + -ING
Vous
pouvez utiliser indifféremment
les 2 formulations HOW ou WHAT :
- Exemples
avec WHAT :
- What
about drinking a
beer ? => et
si on allait boire une bière ?
- What
about taking the
car ? => et
si nous prenions la voiture ?
- Exemple
avec HOW :
- How
about drinking a
beer ? => et
si on allait boire une bière ?
2- SHALL
WE..., WOULD YOU LIKE TO..., WHY DON'T WE... WHY
NOT...
Vous
pouvez utiliser indifféremment les 4 formulations :

verbale :
- Shall
we go to
the cinema ? => et
si on allait au cinéma
- Shall
we take the plane ? => et
si nous prenions l'avion ?
- Would
you like to + base
verbale :
- Would
you like to go to
the cinema ? => Aimerais-tu
aller au cinéma?
- Why
don't we + base
verbale :
- Why
don't we go to
the cinema ? => Pourquoi
n'irions nous pas au cinéma ?
- Why
not + base
verbale :
- Why
not to
go to
France ? => Pourquoi
ne pas aller en France ?
